If you’ve spent any amount of time on the internet, chances are pretty good that you’ve encountered Skweezy Jibbs—the all-caps, larger-than-life, completely committed internet personality who has spent years turning outrageous stories, questionable logic, and unapologetic confidence into viral gold. But now, Skweezy has done something nobody could have predicted: he made a movie.
And somehow, against all odds, it’s actually a movie.

Skweezy Jibbs Makes a Movie follows the internet legend as he attempts to make the greatest film ever conceived—a cinematic masterpiece that, in true Skweezy fashion, is essentially John Wick meets Transformers meets Magic Mike meets Fast & Furious. The only problem? Skweezy has no money, no filmmaking experience, no real idea what he’s doing, and absolutely no intention of letting any of those minor details stop him.
The result is a wildly chaotic mockumentary that is absolutely hilarious. From the ridiculous filmmaking ambitions to the increasingly spectacular train wreck unfolding behind the scenes, Skweezy Jibbs Makes a Movie delivers the kind of comedy that had me laughing far harder than I expected to. It is gloriously absurd, relentlessly committed to the bit, and—perhaps most surprisingly—has a genuinely heartfelt story hiding underneath all the insanity.
Created and performed by Tim Savage, who has inhabited the Skweezy character since 2007, the film turns the internet personality’s greatest strength—his complete and unwavering commitment to being Skweezy—into an 85-minute cinematic adventure.
But getting the film made was its own adventure. Funded in part by more than 1,500 Kickstarter backers, the project was built outside the traditional Hollywood system before Skweezy took the film directly to audiences on a massive theatrical roadshow. Rather than waiting around for Hollywood to decide whether Skweezy was “movie material,” he hit the road and brought the movie to fans himself.
And honestly? That may be the most Skweezy thing imaginable.
I recently had the opportunity to sit down with the man behind the viral character to talk about the insanity of making Skweezy Jibbs Makes a Movie, bringing his internet persona to the big screen, the challenges of filmmaking, his incredibly dedicated fanbase, and what happens when an internet personality decides that making a feature film sounds like a perfectly reasonable idea.
So buckle up, turn the volume up, and prepare yourself for a conversation that is every bit as unpredictable as the man himself. Skweezy Jibbs is making movies now, y’all—and somehow, we’re all better for it.
