The road to WrestleMania has begun. WWE’s biggest show of the year is getting closer, and TKO (WWE’s parent company) wants all your money to watch it. WrestleMania 42 (2026) will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, as a two-night event on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium.
WrestleMania 42 was originally scheduled to take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on April 11–12, 2026, with the announcement made by The Rock in February 2025. It looks like Las Vegas paid more money than New Orleans, because after that announcement, the show was moved to Vegas.
A lot of fans blame the ending of last year’s WrestleMania on The Rock not showing up. Instead, fans got rapper Travis Scott, helping Cena secure the victory and his 17th world title. Travis Scott added nothing to the match, and fans were really let down.
Ticket sales for thisd years WrestleMania are down. As of this writing, only one match has been announced for this year’s two-night show. In previous years, it has been known that WWE plans out months and months in advance for WrestleMania. This year does not seem to be the case.
Another factor for fans not putting their money down on Mania this year is that the FIFA World Cup is happening, and soccer is the biggest sport in the world. If WWE had invested more time in their storylines and match plans instead of trying to get all the money from the misleading ESPN move, maybe fans would be interested.
It has also been rumored on many wrestling podcasts that the surrounding area around Allegiant Stadium will black out the WrestleMania 42 broadcast to bars and businesses. So fans have to spend money on outrageously priced tickets. Sadly, if there were some great stories going on, fans would put down their money, but there are not.
