The Witcher Season 4 Sets October 30 Premiere on Netflix

The Continent is calling once more. Netflix has officially announced that The Witcher Season 4 will premiere on October 30, 2025, ushering in a bold new chapter for the epic fantasy saga.

The upcoming season marks the highly anticipated debut of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia, stepping into the role after Henry Cavill’s departure. Hemsworth joins returning stars Anya Chalotra (Yennefer of Vengerberg), Freya Allan (Princess Cirilla of Cintra), and Joey Batey (Jaskier), alongside an impressive ensemble that includes Laurence Fishburne as Regis and Sharlto Copley as Leo Bonhart.

A Family Divided, A War Unleashed

According to Netflix’s official logline, Season 4 picks up after the Continent-shattering events of Season 3, with Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri separated by a raging war and hunted by relentless enemies. As each character embarks on diverging paths with sharpened goals, they encounter unexpected allies who may prove crucial to survival. If they can learn to embrace these newfound “found families,” there may still be hope for reunion.

In an exclusive with Tudum.com, showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich teased the scope of what’s to come:

“This is the beginning of a two-season journey for our family to finally reunite and be together — hopefully forever.”

Behind the Scenes of Season 4

Season 4 will feature eight episodes running approximately 50 minutes each. Hissrich returns as creator, showrunner, and executive producer, supported by an accomplished writing team including Tania Lotia, Rae Benjamin, Troy Dangerfield, Matthew D’Ambrosio, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Clare Higgins, and Mike Ostrowski.

The directing slate brings in heavy hitters such as Sergio Mimica-Gezzan (Episodes 401 & 402), Tricia Brock (403 & 404), Alex Garcia Lopez (405 & 406), and Jeremy Webb (407 & 408).

Executive producers alongside Hissrich include Steve Gaub, Mike Ostrowski, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Tomek Baginski, Jarek Sawko, Jason Brown, and Sean Daniel, ensuring the dark fantasy world of Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels continues to be brought to life with scale and ambition.
