San Diego, brace yourselves—Starfleet is landing! To celebrate the launch of Season 3 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Paramount+ is pulling out all the stops with an electrifying live event that’s beaming fans straight into the heart of the final frontier.
On Saturday, July 26, San Diego’s iconic Gaslamp Quarter will boldly transform into a living, breathing Star Trek spectacular, thanks to the creative minds behind JFI Productions. Expect dancers, performers, and cosplaying crew members straight from the U.S.S. Enterprise to take over the streets with high-energy, genre-hopping performances inspired by the new season’s wildest episodes.
Ever wanted to wander through a noir murder mystery? Battle zombies in deep space? Witness a Vulcan wedding? Or blast back to a groovy 60s-style Starfleet caper? Now you can. Fans will explore five “strange new worlds” right in the middle of the city, with show-stopping mini performances that make you feel like you’re inside the show, not just watching it.
Keep your tricorders ready—Starfleet sightings will occur at the Interactive Zone at Petco Park (3:00–4:00pm) and outside the Paramount+ Lodge at Happy Does (6:00–8:00pm). And for even more surprise appearances, follow @StarTrek on social media for real-time updates on pop-up performances across town.
But wait, there’s more! Before the party kicks off, the Star Trek Universe panel will take over Hall H from 12:30–2:00pm. Fans can expect back-to-back panels with the cast and creators of Strange New Worlds and the upcoming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, along with exclusive reveals, sneak peeks, and surprises galore—hosted by Star Trek legend Robert Picardo.
“This performance is a love letter to Strange New Worlds—a celebration of everything that makes the series bold, fun, and full of heart,” says Stephanie Turek, Creative Director and Choreographer of JFI Productions. “Whether you’re here for the sci-fi, the drama, the mystery, or just the joy of it all—there’s something for everyone.”
Whether you’re a lifelong Trekkie or just discovering the wonders of warp speed, this is a once-in-a-lifetime event you won’t want to miss. It’s not just Star Trek. It’s Star Trek like you’ve never experienced it before.
New episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 are streaming Thursdays on Paramount+, with the first two seasons already available to binge.
