One of the biggest pop culture conventions in the world is kicking off next week, bringing thousands of superhero fans to San Diego from July 24–27.

Airbnb appears to have been an incredibly popular choice for Con attendees this year, as listings in San Diego have increased by nearly 8% compared to last year. Also, the average host in San Diego earned approximately $2,830 during last years event, so we can only imagine what this year will bring in for hosts!
Also, the average Airbnb guest in San Diego reports spending an additional estimated $236 on restaurants, entertainment, shopping and other local businesses making it a win/win for both the city of San Diego and Airbnb as well!
