Age of The Nerd
Ladies and gentleman the second Guardians of the Galaxy trailer is here! It’s real and it’s spectacular. The second trailer raises the bar even higher, and sets what will be the tone of the film. The music is great, and hopefully Quill’s mixtape pops up throughout the film. It looks like it’s going to be a fun and crazy ride through previously unexplored galaxies in the Marvel Universe. Guardians looks like one of the most ambitious Marvel films to date, and if it works, expect Marvel to make riskier/more original movies in the future. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt as the leading man Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana as Gomora, Dave Bautista as Draz the Destroyer, Vin Deissel as Groot, and most excitingly Bradley Cooper as Rocket. That’s just the main group of “losers”. The film also stars Michael Rooker, Karen Gillian, Dijimon Hounsou, John C. Reily, Glenn Close, and Benicio del Toro as Taneleer Tiven aka The Collector. After this trailer, I am excited for August 1 to roll around.
