Warner Bros. has unleashed a brand new teaser for their upcoming picture Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix. The clip clocks in at nearly two and a half minutes, giving fans a great first look at the flick. Stream the trailer below.
Joker arrives in theaters on October 4. In the film, Phoenix’s character is a failed stand-up comic who is driven insane by his shortcomings and becomes a derranged killer. Other key cast members Zazie Beetz (Atlanta, Deadpool 2), Bryan Callen (The Hangover, Ride Along) and Hollywood icon Robert De Niro.
The role of The Joker was previously played by Academy Award® winner Jared Leto in Suicide Squad (2016). Leto’s performance was mostly met with praise, and the film grossed $746 million worldwide.
