The Prince of Darkness is making one final, unforgettable entrance—and it’s going to be one of the most anticipated attractions of Halloween Horror Nights 2026.
Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort have officially announced “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness,” an all-original haunted house that pays tribute to one of heavy metal’s most legendary performers. Inspired by Ozzy’s groundbreaking solo career, the terrifying new experience promises an immersive journey through decades of unforgettable music, haunting imagery, and larger-than-life performances.
The attraction debuts August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood, giving fans on both coasts the chance to celebrate the icon in true Halloween Horror Nights fashion.

Step Aboard the Crazy Train… If You Dare
Forget your typical haunted house—this is being described as a living horror movie inspired by Ozzy Osbourne’s extraordinary 45-year solo career.
Guests will board the infamous Crazy Train before plunging headfirst into a surreal nightmare packed with unforgettable moments inspired by the legendary rocker. Along the way, fans will encounter twisted environments, eerie characters, and nightmarish recreations influenced by some of Ozzy’s most iconic albums, including:
- Blizzard of Ozz
- Diary of a Madman
- Bark at the Moon
- No More Tears
- Scream
- Ordinary Man
The soundtrack throughout the attraction will feature music from these legendary albums, creating one of the most immersive music-inspired haunted houses Halloween Horror Nights has ever produced.
Two Coasts, Two Unique Nightmares
While both attractions celebrate Ozzy’s incredible legacy, each resort offers its own unique interpretation.
Universal Studios Hollywood
Hollywood’s version begins in Birmingham, England, where John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne’s story first began. From there, guests will travel through the defining moments of his career, encountering terrifying versions of Ozzy himself—including Madman Ozzy, Werewolf Ozzy, and ultimately the legendary Prince of Darkness.
The experience culminates inside the chilling Osbourne Asylum, inspired by Diary of a Madman, promising plenty of scares for longtime fans.
Universal Orlando Resort
Across the country, Universal Orlando’s haunted house takes visitors through ancient ruins, sinister dungeons, and supernatural realms before boarding the Crazy Train.
The attraction draws heavily from the iconic artwork featured on albums such as Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, The Ultimate Sin, and Black Rain, transforming Ozzy’s unforgettable imagery into a horrifying adventure unlike anything fans have experienced before.
The Osbourne Family Gives Their Blessing
Sharon and Jack Osbourne shared their excitement about the project, saying Ozzy always loved discovering new ways for fans to experience his music and creative worlds.
According to the family, Halloween Horror Nights has captured that spirit perfectly, filling the attraction with recognizable moments inspired by his songs, imagination, and unmistakable legacy.
Universal Promises an Authentic Tribute
John Murdy, Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, explained that Ozzy Osbourne’s influence stretches far beyond heavy metal.
Calling him a true cultural icon whose work shaped generations of music, horror, and art, Murdy says the attraction celebrates all 13 of Ozzy’s solo albums while immersing guests in the surreal worlds that helped define his career.
Meanwhile, Mike Aiello, Senior Director of Entertainment Creative Development at Universal Orlando Resort, says the creative team worked closely with the Osbourne family to ensure the experience authentically captures Ozzy’s unique personality and imagination. Fans can also expect plenty of hidden Easter eggs sprinkled throughout the haunted house.
