Doctor Who: Circuit Breaker Begins This June — The Fugitive Doctor Takes Center Stage in an Epic New Adventure!

Whovians, get ready — the countdown has officially begun for Doctor Who: Circuit Breaker, a massive new multi-platform event launching June 25, 2026, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting Doctor Who stories yet!

This summer, the Whoniverse is going big. Circuit Breaker will unfold across comics, books, audio dramas, games, digital experiences, and more — creating one giant connected story fans won’t want to miss. At the heart of it all? None other than The Fugitive Doctor, played by the incredible Jo Martin.

A Crisis Bigger Than Time Itself

The story kicks off inside UNIT’s heavily guarded Black Archive, where mysterious objects have been ripped through time and space, each surrounded by a dangerous energy signature that threatens reality itself.

With time running out, Osgood and her assistant Andrew call in the only person who might be able to save the universe: The Doctor.

But this isn’t the Doctor everyone remembers.

As the Fugitive Doctor faces legendary enemies like the Daleks, Cybermen, Sontarans, and even a rogue Weeping Angel, long-buried secrets begin to rise. Trust starts to crack, alliances are tested, and even UNIT begins to question whether this Doctor is truly the hero they believed she was.

A Summer-Long Whoniverse Event

BBC Studios has teamed up with longtime Doctor Who partners including Titan Comics, Big Finish Productions, BBC Books, Puffin, East Side Games, and more to tell this sprawling adventure across multiple formats.

That means every new chapter brings fresh clues, bigger dangers, and new pieces of the mystery.

And yes… there’s also a brand-new costume.

The Third Massive Doctor Who Story Event

Circuit Breaker follows previous huge-scale Doctor Who crossover events like Time Lord Victorious and Doom’s Day, but this one may be the boldest yet.

With multiple platforms, iconic villains, mystery, action, and the long-awaited return of the Fugitive Doctor, Circuit Breaker is already looking like essential Doctor Who viewing — and reading, listening, and playing.

The countdown starts now. June 25 can’t come soon enough.
