Age of The Nerd
A reckoning is coming… and it sounds incredible.
The brand-new trailer for Mother Mary, the latest project from visionary filmmaker David Lowery, has officially dropped—and it’s dripping with drama, style, and some seriously haunting music. Alongside the trailer comes the hypnotic new single “My Mouth Is Lonely For You,” performed by Anne Hathaway and crafted by the ever-enigmatic FKA twigs.
And yes… it’s every bit as mesmerizing as that title suggests.
🌟 Pop Stardom, Secrets, and a Reunion That Could Explode
At the heart of Mother Mary is a story that feels equal parts glamorous and emotionally volatile. Anne Hathaway steps into the spotlight as Mother Mary, an iconic pop superstar gearing up for a massive comeback. But fame isn’t the only thing waiting in the wings.
Enter Sam Anselm, played by the phenomenal Michaela Coel—Mary’s estranged best friend and former costume designer. Their reunion on the eve of Mary’s return to the stage threatens to unearth long-buried wounds, unresolved tensions, and secrets that refuse to stay buried.
In other words: expect fireworks… the emotional kind.
🎶 A Soundtrack That’s Basically a Powerhouse Playlist

The upcoming Mother Mary: Greatest Hits album (dropping April 17) is stacked with talent. We’re talking original songs written and produced by Jack Antonoff and Charli XCX, with additional contributions from FKA twigs.
And yes—Anne Hathaway herself is front and center on multiple tracks, proving she’s not just playing a pop star… she’s becoming one.
🎬 A Cast Packed With Rising Stars & Scene-Stealers
Beyond Hathaway and Coel, the film features an eye-catching ensemble including:

- Sian Clifford
It’s a lineup that screams style, substance, and just the right amount of chaos.
