Age of The Nerd
There’s something about the desert that strips everything down to the raw, unfiltered truth—and Magic Hour leans all the way into that emotional intensity.
From filmmaker and star Katie Aselton, alongside the endlessly charismatic Daveed Diggs (Hamilton), comes a poignant and gripping romantic drama that’s ready to hit you right in the feels.
💔 When Love Gets Complicated…
Magic Hour follows Charlie and Erin, a couple who retreat to the vast, isolating beauty of the desert as they confront a sudden and deeply challenging turning point in their relationship. What unfolds isn’t just a getaway—it’s an emotional reckoning.
With the sun blazing overhead and nowhere to hide, the pair are forced to face truths that many of us would rather avoid. It’s intimate, it’s honest, and yes—it’s going to hurt (in the best way possible).
🎬 A Creative Powerhouse Behind the Scenes
Co-written by Aselton and Mark Duplass, Magic Hour carries the unmistakable DNA of a Duplass Brothers Productions project—grounded storytelling, natural performances, and emotional authenticity that lingers long after the credits roll.
And if that wasn’t enough to get your attention, the film already made waves as an official selection at South by Southwest (SXSW), where audiences got an early taste of its powerful storytelling.
🎟️ Mark Your Calendars
