Age of The Nerd
Get ready, dystopia fans—Hulu is bringing us The Testaments, a thrilling new chapter from the creative minds behind The Handmaid’s Tale! The highly anticipated series drops on April 8 with a triple dose of episodes, and then weekly installments will keep the suspense rolling. Hulu subscribers in the U.S. can catch it on Hulu or Hulu + Disney+ bundles, while international viewers can stream it on Disney+.
Based on Margaret Atwood’s gripping novel, The Testaments isn’t just a sequel—it’s a coming-of-age drama set in the chilling world of Gilead. Meet Agnes, the dutiful, pious teen navigating life under strict rules, and Daisy, a fresh convert from beyond Gilead’s borders. Their unlikely friendship sparks a chain reaction that threatens to shake the very foundations of their society. And yes—there will be drama, intrigue, and those jaw-dropping moments fans have come to expect.
The series comes from showrunner Bruce Miller, with executive producers Warren Littlefield, Elisabeth Moss, Steve Stark, and more, and features direction from Mike Barker for the opening episodes and finale. Produced by MGM Television and 20th Television, the show promises the same high-stakes tension and cinematic visuals that made The Handmaid’s Tale a cultural phenomenon.
And the cast? Absolute fire. Ann Dowd, Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday, Mabel Li, Amy Seimetz, Brad Alexander, Rowan Blanchard, and a host of stellar performers bring this dark, gripping world to life.
Mark your calendars, folks—Gilead is back, and it’s ready to remind us that friendship can be revolutionary.
