Age of The Nerd
Break out the lasers, tune up the electric violins, and prepare your inner rock-opera nerd: Trans-Siberian Orchestra is officially rolling back into town for their 2025 Winter Tour, and they’re bringing a sleigh-full of surprises with them.
This year’s spectacle—“The Ghosts of Christmas Eve: The Best of TSO and More”—doesn’t just resurrect the fan-favorite holiday rock opera. Oh no. TSO is also dropping a 25th anniversary tribute to Beethoven’s Last Night as part of an all-new second set packed with classics, deep cuts, and a few “did-they-just-do-that?” moments only TSO could pull off.
And yes, the pyrotechnics, lasers, and over-the-top theatrics that could make even a Marvel movie blush? All back. All bigger. All gloriously excessive.

A Holiday Classic Gets the Glow-Up
TSO is once again bringing their rock-opera holiday adventure “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” to the stage—reimagined, expanded, and ready to emotionally drop-kick audiences of all ages. If you’ve seen it before, you know the deal: a runaway, an abandoned theater, and a Christmas Eve journey fueled by shredding guitars, soaring vocals, and more fog machines than a haunted house in October.
After that? A whole second set of big TSO moments, including the tribute to Beethoven’s Last Night, the 2000 concept album that blended Beethoven’s greatest hits with a Faustian showdown. If you’ve ever thought, “What if Beethoven battled the Devil with guitars?” this is your moment.
Al Pitrelli Gets Nostalgic
TSO’s musical director and longtime guitarist Al Pitrelli reflected on the milestone:
“It’s been 25 years since we recorded Beethoven’s Last Night and it seems just like yesterday… We can’t wait to get on the road.”
Translation: expect big feels and big riffs.
Beethoven’s Last Night Finally Hits Vinyl
Vinyl collectors, warm up those turntables: TSO is releasing Beethoven’s Last Night on vinyl for the first time ever on September 12.
The 2LP release comes in:
-
A special lenticular cover edition
-
A slick red vinyl pressing
Both are available for preorder via Rhino—aka, prepare your shelves now.
The Signing Line Is Back (!!!)
For the first time since 2019, the fan-favorite TSO signing line is returning. Anyone attending an evening performance gets to have one item signed by members of the group. For free. No VIP pass. No upsells. Just a sharpie and good vibes.
TSO Keeps Breaking Records
The band continues to be a philanthropic powerhouse and touring juggernaut:
-
$20+ million donated to local charities
-
20+ million tickets sold
-
$1 billion in total gross sales
-
Consistent top rankings in Pollstar and Billboard
-
Their iconic track “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” just crossed 100 million streams
Not bad for a band that made blending classical music, metal, and holiday spirit into an entire genre.
The 2025 Tour
TSO is hitting 64 markets with 106 shows, stretching coast to coast with both matinée and evening performances. (Seriously, the tour schedule looks like they challenged Santa to a speedrun.)
