Johnny Depp will soon return to theaters thanks to a little Christmas tale. It has been reported in various media outlets that Johnny Depp is in final talks to star in “Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol,” an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic holiday story, for Paramount Pictures.
Delaware’s very own Ti West will be sitting in the director’s chair. Ti West has been on a winning streak in the horror genre with “X”, “Pearl”, and “Maxxine”. Depp has been absent from the big screen in the last few years, and it will be great to see him again on the big screen.
Nathaniel Halpern (“Tales From the Loop,” “Legion”) and Andrea Riseborough (“Oblivion,” “To Leslie”) wrote the script. If the deal goes through, the studio plans to release the film on November 13, 2026.
Depp would be perfect as the character, and would serve as a great return next holiday season. Stay tuned for more.
