Netflix Reveals Official Trailer For The Witcher Season Four

Netflix has officially confirmed that The Witcher returns for Season 4 on October 30, 2025 — and with it, a bold new chapter begins for fans of the Continent.

This season marks several turning points for the fantasy series: most notably, Liam Hemsworth assumes the role of Geralt of Rivia, taking over from Henry Cavill. Alongside this casting change, the show is positioning Season 4 as the penultimate installment, with Season 5 already in production and slated to bring the saga to a conclusion.

According to Netflix’s official description, Season 4 picks up in the aftermath of the Continent-altering events in Season 3, with Geralt, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan) separated by war and innumerable threats. As they traverse hostile terrain, they will cultivate new alliances — “found families,” in the show’s own framing — in their quest to reunite.

Of note: seasons 4 and 5 were filmed back-to-back, giving the production a kind of narrative momentum and cohesion heading into the show’s finale. Fans will be pleased to know that—unlike Season 3, which was released in staggered volumes—all eight episodes of Season 4 will drop simultaneously on October 30.

As the premiere date draws near, anticipation is building for the new direction The Witcher may take. With Season 5 already looming on the horizon, fans will be watching closely — not just for heroic monster hunts, but for how deeply this adaptation will confront its characters’ ghosts.

Release Reminder: The Witcher Season 4 debuts on Netflix, October 30, 2025 — all episodes will drop at once.
