Halloween Horror Nights 2025 at Universal Orlando: The Scares, The Spectacle, and The Spaghetti Pizza

If there’s one thing we can count on every spooky season, it’s that Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights will find new and creative ways to ruin our vocal cords. And this year — HHN 2025 — is bigger, bloodier, and bolder than ever. From blood-soaked slashers to twisted dolls and animatronic nightmares, the event proves once again why it’s the Super Bowl of Scare Season.

Let’s just say: we screamed, we laughed, and we ate spaghetti and meatballs… on a pizza. And yes, it was glorious.

The Houses of Horror: Our Official Ranking

With an impressive lineup of both original haunts and beloved IPs, narrowing down our top picks wasn’t easy. But after surviving every jump scare, hallway sprint, and fog-filled nightmare, here’s how the haunted houses stacked up for us this year.

🩸 1. Terrifier

Hands down, the most terrifying house at HHN 2025 — and the one most likely to haunt your dreams. From the moment you step inside, Art the Clown greets you with his grotesque grin and a maze of absolute madness. The design is brutal, the actors are relentless, and the level of gore? Let’s just say your laundry detergent is going to have a long night.

It’s raw, it’s shocking, and it’s exactly what hardcore horror fans come to HHN for. A blood-soaked masterpiece.

🔪 2. Jason Universe

The man behind the hockey mask is back — and Universal has turned Camp Crystal Lake into the ultimate slasher experience. You’ll feel Jason’s presence from every angle (sometimes literally), and the set transitions from cabin to campfire to chaos are impressively seamless. It’s a nostalgic love letter to Friday the 13th fans, loaded with jump scares and clever staging.

Jason doesn’t just chase you here — he multiplies. You’ve been warned.

🧸 3. Dolls: Let’s Play Dead

Don’t let the cute name fool you — this house is deeply unsettling. Imagine being shrunken down and trapped inside a deranged toy box full of porcelain nightmares. With interactive “push-to-scare” triggers and eerie sound design, Dolls walks the perfect line between whimsical and horrifying.

It’s twisted toy-town terror — and we loved every creepy second of it.

🌕 4. WWE’s The Horror of the Wyatt Sicks

When the world of wrestling meets the world of horror, you get something unexpectedly awesome. This house channels the eerie legacy of Bray Wyatt with flickering lanterns, distorted screens, and psychological tension that slowly builds until you’re fully immersed in his madness.

Whether you’re a WWE fan or not, this one’s a creepy, creative standout — part tribute, part fever dream.

🐺 5. Gálkn: Creatures of the North

One of HHN’s strongest original concepts this year, Gálkn drops you into a frozen nightmare where folklore monsters roam free. It’s beautiful, chilling, and atmospheric, relying on tension and detail rather than cheap scares. Think Norse horror meets arctic survival — equal parts eerie and elegant.

🤖 6. Five Nights at Freddy’s

The long-awaited Five Nights at Freddy’s house is a crowd-pleaser, especially for fans of the franchise. Universal nails the vibe of Fazbear’s Pizza — all bright colors, cheerful music, and then… boom. Animatronic terror. The scale and attention to detail are impressive, even if the scares lean more fun than ferocious.

Also, bonus points for the themed food (more on that delicious chaos below).

And the Rest…

The remaining houses range from solid to slightly uneven, but each still brings something special to the table. “Grave of Flesh” oozes with atmosphere, “El Artista” dazzles with its surreal visuals, and “Hatchet & Chains” leans into gory Western grit. Not every maze hits home, but the overall lineup is one of HHN’s strongest in years.

Scare Zones That Stole the Show

Between the houses, HHN’s scare zones keep the adrenaline pumping — and none did it better than Crooked Lane. This twisted fairytale stretch of the park combines eerie charm with roaming creatures and massive set pieces that feel alive. Every walkthrough reveals new details — creepy dolls, cackling cats, and unnerving music box melodies.

Other zones like Mutations: Toxic Twenties and Masquerade: Dance With Death bring plenty of atmosphere, but Crooked Lane is pure nightmare magic.

Food Fit for Fear

Now, let’s talk about what really matters between screams: the food.
Universal keeps leveling up the themed bites, and this year’s Five Nights at Freddy’s menu steals the show. The spaghetti-and-meatball-topped pizza sounds like a crime against nature, but somehow, it works — messy, delicious, and totally on-brand for Fazbear’s chaos. And the Carl Cupcake? Sweet perfection. (We may have taken one home. Don’t judge.)

Final Thoughts: A Killer Year for HHN Fans

Halloween Horror Nights 2025 is everything we hoped for — a wicked blend of nostalgia, nightmare fuel, and theme park magic. Terrifier, Jason Universe, and Dolls: Let’s Play Dead easily earn our top spots, but the overall creativity and energy across the event are unmatched.

Between the killer scare zones, inventive food, and crowd-pleasing mix of IPs and originals, this year proves HHN still reigns supreme in the haunted event world. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned veteran, this is one spooky season you don’t want to miss.

Now if you’ll excuse us… we’re going back for seconds on that spaghetti pizza.
