Apple TV+ clearly isn’t ready to say “good morning” for the last time. The streamer just renewed its award-winning drama The Morning Show for a fifth season—one day before the highly anticipated Season 4 even premieres.
Starring and executive produced by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, the series has been a staple for Apple TV+ since it launched in 2019, mixing glossy newsroom drama with biting commentary on media, power, and truth in the modern world. And with Season 4 set to debut tomorrow (Wednesday, September 17, 2025), it looks like fans can already rest easy knowing there’s more chaos brewing behind the UBA anchor desk.
“The Morning Show has been a standout from the very start, debuting as one of the flagship series on Apple TV+,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming at Apple TV+. “Thanks to the outstanding cast and creative team—led by Jennifer, Reese, Charlotte [Stoudt], and Mimi [Leder]—it continues to deliver addictively entertaining and provocative stories that we’ve all come to love.”
Season 4 wastes no time throwing its characters into the deep end. Taking place in spring 2024, nearly two years after the events of Season 3, the UBA newsroom is still reeling from its merger with NBN. With conspiracy theories, deepfakes, and corporate cover-ups lurking around every corner, the series dares to ask: who can you trust when reality itself feels manipulated?
Alongside Aniston and Witherspoon, returning cast members include Billy Crudup (fresh off his second Emmy win as UBA exec Cory Ellison), Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Greta Lee, Karen Pittman, Nicole Beharie, and Jon Hamm. But Season 4 is also upping the star power, welcoming Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper, Boyd Holbrook, Marion Cotillard, and Jeremy Irons into the mix. That’s right—two Oscar winners are now part of the chaos.
Over the years, The Morning Show has stacked up Emmy, SAG, and Critics Choice Awards, with standout recognition for Aniston’s powerhouse turn as Alex Levy and Crudup’s scene-stealing corporate shark. It’s also been a favorite among critics, even landing on the American Film Institute’s list of the Top 10 TV programs of 2023.
For those who need a refresher (or maybe you’re ready to binge from the start), Seasons 1–3 are streaming now on Apple TV+. Season 4 officially hits tomorrow—and with Season 5 already greenlit, the drama behind the news desk is just getting started.
