Trafalgar Releasing is bringing the highly anticipated documentary YUNGBLUD. ARE YOU READY, BOY? to cinemas around the world for two special screenings on August 20 & 24. Featuring internationally acclaimed British artist YUNGBLUD, this feature-length film offers fans a unique window into a pivotal moment in his career. Directed by Paul Dugdale—the Emmy® and BAFTA-winning filmmaker behind Adele: One Night Only, Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium, and The Prodigy: Worlds on Fire—the documentary was filmed at the iconic Hansa Studios in Berlin, famously home to landmark albums like David Bowie’s Heroes and U2’s Achtung Baby.
A Raw, Unfiltered Journey Through Music and Identity
Shot in both black & white and color, with stunning 16mm sequences, the film captures YUNGBLUD at a moment of transformation. Joined by his band, he enters the historic Berlin studio to perform tracks from his most personal album yet, Idols, live for the first time. Released in June 2025 to critical acclaim, Idols marks his third consecutive UK No. 1 album.
With no audience present and cameras rolling from start to finish, the film strips away all barriers. It presents an honest, behind-the-scenes portrait of YUNGBLUD’s creative process, revealing the raw emotion, collaboration, and vulnerability that shaped both the album and its recording.
“This film is a snapshot of exactly where we are right now,” YUNGBLUD shared. “Idols is my most ambitious album to date, and Berlin has always represented total creative freedom to me. Every time I walk into Hansa Studios, it’s like walking through music history—you feel it in every breath.”
He added, “There’s a moment in that silence between takes when you feel the weight of everyone who came before you. You’re standing in the shadows of legends, asking yourself, ‘Who the f*ck am I? What am I going to leave behind?’”

Produced by B.R.A.T Productions in association with Aldgate Pictures, YUNGBLUD. ARE YOU READY, BOY? is more than a documentary—it’s a love letter to Berlin, a city that has always embraced rebellion, art, and authenticity. It offers 12 live performances from the Idols album and an unfiltered look into the making of a modern rock icon.

“We captured this just after the record was completed, before anyone had heard it—a rare, pure moment for any artist. With no outside influence or expectation, we were able to document something completely authentic. Dom gave us full access and total honesty. It was a privilege.”
