Even before it premiered on Netflix in late May, the show “Tires” was renewed for a second season. Stand-up comedian Shane Gillis himself funded the project. Netflix acquired “Tires” as part of Gillis’s deal with them, and a new stand-up special will premiere sometime in 2025.
The series follows, “Will (Steven Gerben), the nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain, attempts to turn his father’s business around despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee, Shane (Gillis).
Netflix released Gillis’s first special, “Beautiful Dogs,” in 2023. The cast also includes Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, and Stavros Halkias. Andrew Schulz guest stars. Gillis co-created the series along with Gerben and John McKeever.
