Age of The Nerd
The horror genre is on a roll this year, and one of the movies being talked about the most is “Maxxxine.” It will be the third film in West’s X trilogy. Mia Goth will be back, and we’re really looking forward to seeing this film. The film releases nationwide on July 3rd.
From the trailer posted below, the film has the feel of a sleazy 80s film. It takes place in 80s Hollywood and revolves around adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx finally getting her big break. But as a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Hollywood, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past.
A stellar cast has joined Goth in the supposed conclusion of the X trilogy. Ti West has hinted in past interviews that if the film does well, a fourth film just might be in the works. X and Pearl are both excellent films that have secured West’s name in the horror genre, but also as a great storyteller and filmmaker.
