The hit television show Downtown Abbey that took the world by storm will be returning with a second film early next year. The British historical drama series that takes place in the early 2oth century premiered in the United Kingdom in 2010. The show was created and co-written by Julian Fellowes.
Set in the fictional Yorkshire country estate of Downtown Abbey the series follows the lives of aristocratic Crawley family and servants around them. Many historical events are covered on the show, and the effect they have on there lives.
The series lasted six seasons and a hit movie. The series has been one of the most critically acclaimed shows on television. And it has been revealed that a second movie Downtown Abbey: A New Era will be hitting theaters next year with a lot of the original cast returning. Julian Fellowes wrote the story and Simon Curtis will direct.
