‘A Quiet Place’ TV Spots and Clips Bring the Scares

Sound design is such an under-appreciated aspect of horror movies, and the premise for the John Krasinski’s (Jim from the office) film sounds ripe for some good-ol horror fun.  A Quiet Place has the potential to become a classic.  I don’t really know, but all the buzz about the film is that it’s scary, well-acted, well-directed, yada yada.  Last month we gout our first look the the film was this eerie and effective trailer.  A month later, the studio has released some new clips and TV spots that certainly highlight the scares.

TV Clip – ‘Don’t Make a Sound’

The trailers and clips and overall marketing for the film have done a great job at hiding the monsters, and established a distinguished tone for the film.  It will be interesting to see what Krasinski does in his second time in the directors chair.

A Quiet Place opens in theaters April 6, 2018.

In the modern horror thriller A Quiet Place, a family of four must navigate their lives in silence after mysterious creatures that hunt by sound threaten their survival. If they hear you, they hunt you.

A Quiet Place stars Emily Blunt (Edge of Tomorrow), John Krasinski (The Office), Noah Jupe (Suburbicon) and Millicent Simmonds (Wonderstruck). The film is produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller.
