The first trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s (Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class) new film adaption of The Secret Service comic has hit the web (do people still call the internet ‘the web’?). The new film titled Kingsman: The Secret Service, is based off the comic written by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. Vaughn has worked previously with Millar, adapting the popular Kick-Ass comic into a successful movie franchise.
I don’t know much about the comic of which the film is based, all I know it’s a spy comic with a small-run of only six issues. The film looks like a healthy blend of comedy and some good-old-fashioned spy action. The plot seems fairly standard, with veteran of the secret society Colin Firth, taking on a brash younger new recruit. The film looks fun nonetheless. Kingsman: The Secret Service stars Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Hamill, Michael Caine, and Taron Egerton. The script is written by Vaughn and Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass 1 & 2, X-Men: First Class, Days of Future Past).
Kingsman: The Secret Service premieres on October, 24th 2014.
